QUALITY , COMMITMENT and COMMUNICATION
"A tradition built on honesty, integrity, faith and quality"
These three words are the principles that have made us what we are today. Established in 1987 by Ron McDonald, McDonald Builder's has quickly gained the reputation of a quality custom homebuilder/farm developer. This is a reputation that we are proud of and one that we continue to strive to achieve.
"Put your best foot forward" was the philosophy of Ron in construction and in life. He took great pride in his construction business and demanded quality in every area of construction. His keene eyes and attention to detail oversaw every phase of the construction process. Attention to Detail is a phrase that sometimes is overrated but in his case this was and is demanded. Being an owner and breeder of thoroughbred racehorses, his passion was farms and the horses. Thus, this helped greatly in farm development. He was a true horseman and used his knowledge of thoroughbred horses to help construct farms that would be safe in every way to the animal he loved and the industry he cherished.
In 1991 his son, Mark McDonald, joined the company. Learning the trade from the ground up, Mark walked side by side with his father watching and learning the construction process. Ron instilled in his son what he believed to be the most important elements of construction. QUALITY- building the very best house possible in a timely manner. COMMITMENT- to owners and excellence. COMMUNICATION - perhaps the most important element of construction. Keeping the lines of communication open at all times with owners and subcontractors. This helps the building process go a lot smoother for everyone involved.
From father to son, in 2000 the torch of McDonald Builder's was passed from Ron to Mark due to his untimely illness. Today McDonald Builder's continues to operate under the same principles in which Ron founded the company. "Each house I build or farm I develop is in tribute to my father and everything he taught me."
Quality, Commitment, Communication. That is my promise to you in building your new home or developing your farm. The excitement is building.
I can recommend McDonald Builders without reservation. Mark learned the building business from his father, who passed along a strict set of values and an emphasis on maintaining the highest standards, with no tolerance for short-cuts. Mark has integrity. He says what he means, and he does what he says. His father would be very proud of what Mark has accomplished since taking over the company, and I can think of no higher
compliment than that.
